WE ARE FRESHLY ENGAGED! 😊 – SO NOW WHAT?
HERE ARE 5 FIRST WEDDING PLANNING STEPS TO TAKE
If you have recently experienced this extremely magical moment in life of every couple and you’ve said the first “YES”, then accept our most sincere congratulations! The most important thing now is to enjoy these romantic moments as newly engaged because this period is absolutely unique. It is at this point that your common dreams begin to materialize and you already know that you are both ready to make the promise of living together in love until the end of your days. This joyful time is also an occasion to celebrate with your families and friends so experience it fully 😊. But sooner or later there will come a time when you look at each other and ask “so now what?”. At this point we appear on the horizon to wrap your drunk in happiness heads around all this. We will tell you about the first 5 steps you need to take to start planning your Wedding Day.

- 1. Think about how long you wish your engagement to last
Every couple is totally different. Some start thinking specifically about the wedding right the next morning after putting the ring on Beloved’s finger, while the others want to relax before this big (and let’s be honest – stressful) machine called “wedding preparations” starts, and they put it off until next year or even later. That’s why it’s worth considering what your main goal is: whether to get married as soon as possible, even in six months’ time, or you think you might postpone it for a while. You should be aware that, on average, it takes about a whole year to organize a wedding, and that’s only if your dream wedding location is still available.

- 2. Estimate the size of your wedding
Next, imagine your dream wedding, what do you see: a huge party held for 2 or 3 days or rather an intimate celebration just with your closest ones? This is one of the main factors that will define further steps of the preparations. Would you rather invite 50 people top, or at least 150 or even more? The size of your wedding is crucial and you have to think about it carefully because in the next stage your dreams will collide with a little brutal reality for the first time.

- 3. Establish the real wedding budget
The time has come to ask yourselves this important question – who will pay for the wedding and the wedding reception and, what is more, how much money can they spend? Will you, as the future Bride and Groom, take it upon yourselves and pay for your special Wedding Day or will your families do it for you? Or maybe all of you will share these costs together? For sure we strongly advice you against taking a loan, because we guess it’s not worth to start a new life together with debts caused only by this one day, no matter how special it is. Either way, you have to confront your dreams with reality and work out some kind of compromise 😊. You may have a problem with establishing the budget because we assume that you are not aware of how much each wedding service and product costs. It is therefore a good idea to start a cooperation with an English speaking wedding planner in Poland who helps the Fiancés both from Poland and abroad, like The Magical Events! We can adjust your budget to the financial realities of the wedding industry and we can also tell you what costs you should be expecting and where some unforeseen expenses occur most often. We will remind you about things you wouldn’t even think about in a frenzy of preparation.

- 4. Define a theme of your wedding and wedding reception
Your wedding’s and wedding reception’s theme is important to be thought about at the very beginning of the preparations (yeah, we know it’s difficult) but believe that it will make things much easier for you in the next stages. Your little sufferings are always for your own good, trust us 😊. You will be able to reject unwanted elements much quicker and also discover what services and products you really need to fulfill your long-awaited dreams. The good news is that you will be much closer to establishing your final wedding budget then.

- 5. Choose the date and location
With the brief idea of your special day and a established amount of money to spend on your Wedding Day, you are already able to choose the date and location. Sometimes these two matters do not go hand in hand but there is always some way out. In this case you may decide on an unusual day of the week or a month apart from the high wedding season. It depends on what you care about more. When choosing a location remember to match it with the style you have chosen and the number of guests because different weddings are organized in an exquisite palace or a distinguished castle, and different in a modern barn or old brickyard 😊.

So, as you can see, there’s a lot to do. Estimating the size of your wedding and wedding reception, establishing the budget, selecting contractors, selecting the theme or choosing the date and place of the ceremony and wedding reception. This could keep you awake at night. However, we don’t want the planning of the most beautiful day of your life to turn into a nightmare, so we reach out a helping hand to you. We know what questions to ask and where to find the answers to your, even the most sophisticated, wishes. We hope that we have explained to you the first steps you should take and from now on we will turn the planning of your Wedding Day into pure pleasure.
